Managing MT5 Passwords

Learn how to update your MT5 trading and investor (read-only) passwords.

You can manage two types of MT5 passwords:

Password Type	Purpose	How to Change
Trading Password	Used to place trades and manage your account	Change in Client Portal → Accounts → Manage → Change Password
Investor (Read-Only) Password	Provides view-only access without trading rights	Change in MT5 → Tools → Options → Server → Change Password → Investor Password

Always use a secure password that includes letters, numbers, and special characters.
