When a Competition Ends: Results and Prizes
What happens when a competition ends: how results are finalised, when winners are contacted, and how prizes are awarded.
This article explains what happens as a competition runs and, most importantly, what happens once it closes.
When do the standings become final?
When the competition reaches its end time, or is stopped by the organiser, a final rescore runs and the leaderboard is frozen. It stays viewable so the results can be published.
How will I know if I won?
Winners are contacted within 5 to 10 business days after the competition closes. Keep the contact details on your account up to date so we can reach you.
Can a competition change while it is running?
Once a competition is live, the rules that decide who can win, such as the format, eligibility, balance limits, start time, and one entry per client, are locked. The organiser can still update the name, end time, prize text, and banner.
