Competition Terms & Conditions
The Terms & Conditions that govern participation in the trading competitions.
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern participation in trading competitions ("Competitions") made available by TX3 Markets on TX3 Markets client accounts. By entering a Competition, you agree to these Terms, to the specific terms set out in the applicable Schedule, and to your existing TX3 Markets client agreement. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not enter.
1. Definitions
"Account" means an MT5 trading account held with TX3 Markets and used to enter a Competition.
"Competition" means a trading competition made available by TX3 Markets and governed by these Terms and the applicable Schedule.
"Competition Window" means the start and end date and time specified in the Schedule, during which trades are scored.
"Closed Trade" means a position opened and closed within the Competition Window, recorded by its closing deal on the MT5 server.
"Leaderboard" means the ranking module displayed in the TX3 client portal for a Competition.
"Net Deposits" means deposits less withdrawals over the relevant period.
"Participant", "you" or "your" means a client who enters a Competition.
"Schedule" means the competition-specific terms for a particular Competition, including Schedule A to these Terms.
"Score" means the value by which entries are ranked, calculated according to the Competition format.
"TX3 Markets", "TX3", "we", "us" or "our" means the promoter identified in section 2.
2. The Promoter
Competitions are operated by TX3 Markets. TX3 Markets Global (PTY) LTD is an Authorised Financial Services Provider regulated by the FSCA in South Africa (FSP No. 53180). Client accounts are onboarded through TX3 Markets Global LTD (Saint Lucia, Reg. No. 2023-00449), also licensed by the Mwali International Services Authority (Licence No. BFX2025154).
Prizes are provided by TX3 Markets. The Leaderboard displays prizes and results but does not itself make any payment; any payout is arranged by TX3 Markets.
3. Eligibility
A Competition is open to TX3 Markets clients who hold an eligible Account of the type specified in the Schedule and who meet any minimum balance or other requirement stated there.
Participants must have completed the account verification (KYC) required by TX3 Markets and must be of legal age and capacity in their jurisdiction.
Entry is not available where participation would be unlawful, or where the client’s jurisdiction is restricted by TX3 Markets.
Employees of TX3 Markets and its group companies, and their immediate family members, may be excluded from prizes where stated in the Schedule.
One entry per client. Each Participant may enter a Competition once, identified against their client profile rather than by Account number, even if they hold multiple logins. An Account that cannot be linked to a verified client profile will not be admitted.
One active competition per Account. An Account may hold only one live Competition entry at any time, across all Competitions.
4. Competition Window
Only Closed Trades executed within the Competition Window count toward a Participant’s Score. Trades placed before the start or after the end are ignored.
All times are as stated in the Schedule. Where a timezone is stated, that timezone governs.
TX3 Markets may extend, shorten, suspend, or reschedule a Competition Window in accordance with section 12.
5. How to Enter
Public Competition: open the Competition module in the TX3 client portal and enter your MT5 Account number. If the Account is eligible, it is admitted immediately and its baseline is captured at that moment.
Invite-only Competition: choose the Join private option in the portal and enter your Account number together with the share code provided by the organiser.
Entry is opt-in. No client is entered without taking this action, unless an explicit Account list is enrolled by TX3 Markets at the start of a Competition.
Where an Account is not admitted, the Participant is informed of the requirement not met. For privacy, the system does not disclose which other Competition an Account may be entered in.
6. Scoring and Ranking
Each Competition uses one ranking format, specified in the Schedule. The available formats and how they rank entries are:
Format | How entries are ranked |
Return % | Funding-adjusted realised return on starting capital |
Most profit | Total realised profit and loss, in account currency |
Most lots | Total lots traded across closed trades |
Most notional | Notional value traded (lots times contract size times price) |
Best trade % | Single best closed trade, as a percentage of its own notional |
Most pips | Net signed pips across closed trades |
One trade challenge | The return percentage of the entrant’s first closed trade |
Only realised, Closed Trades count. Open or floating positions at the end of the Competition Window do not score.
A round trip is counted once, by its closing deal, across lots, trade count, win rate, and per-symbol volume.
Where profit and loss is used, it is measured net: gross profit plus commission, swap, and fees.
Deposits and withdrawals are not trades and are never scored as profit. In the Return % format, deposits made during the Competition Window increase the starting-capital figure, and withdrawals do not reduce it.
In the Return % format, Accounts below the minimum starting capital stated in the Schedule are shown as not applicable and rank below all scored entries.
Ranking is by highest Score first. Ties are broken by total lots traded, and then by Account number.
In an invite-only Competition, a Participant who joins after the start is scored from their own join time.
The Leaderboard is rescored automatically on a set cadence. Scores shown during a Competition are provisional. A final rescore is performed when the Competition closes, after which the Leaderboard is frozen.
7. Prizes
The prizes for a Competition, and the ranks to which they correspond, are set out in the Schedule.
Prizes are as stated, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and no cash alternative is offered unless stated in the Schedule.
Where a prize is a challenge or evaluation account (for example a "Pro Challenge" account), that prize is subject to its own separate terms, which apply in addition to these Terms.
Any taxes, levies, or charges arising from a prize are the responsibility of the winner.
Prizes are awarded on the final, frozen Leaderboard. Provisional standings during a Competition do not confer any entitlement.
8. Winner Notification and Claims
Winners are contacted within 5 to 10 business days after the Competition closes, using the contact details held on their client profile.
Participants are responsible for keeping their contact details current. TX3 Markets is not liable for a failure to reach a winner caused by out-of-date details.
A winner may be required to confirm their identity and eligibility before a prize is paid or issued.
If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within [14] days of being contacted, or is found ineligible, TX3 Markets may withdraw the prize and, at its discretion, award it to the next eligible entry.
9. Fair Play and Prohibited Conduct
Competitions are scored on genuine trading. The following do not count toward a Score and may lead to disqualification:
Wash trades or round-trip trades with no real market exposure.
Trades placed only to inflate volume.
Deposit-and-withdraw cycling.
Any form of market abuse or manipulation.
Opening opposite or hedged positions across two or more accounts in order to manufacture a result is prohibited.
Operating multiple entries, or entering through Accounts that cannot be tied to a single verified client, is prohibited.
TX3 Markets may exclude volume, adjust a Score, disqualify an entry, or reclaim a prize already paid, where prohibited conduct is identified, including after the Competition has ended.
10. Trading Risk
Entering a Competition does not change the trading conditions on any Account and is not a recommendation or inducement to trade.
A Competition may reward trading activity or volume. Participants trade at their own risk and should not trade beyond their means in order to compete. Trading leveraged FX and CFDs carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of all invested capital.
Unless stated in the Schedule, a Competition does not impose drawdown limits, maximum position sizes, or stop-out disqualification. Participants remain solely responsible for their own risk management.
11. Privacy and Publicity
The Leaderboard publicly displays masked Account numbers only, together with rank, the Competition metric, lots traded, closed trade count, win rate, and a normalised performance curve.
The Leaderboard never displays a Participant’s name, contact details, balance, equity, credit, deposits, or withdrawals, on any format.
By entering, you consent to the display of your masked, anonymised results on the Leaderboard and to TX3 Markets publishing the results of the Competition.
Personal data is handled in accordance with the TX3 Markets privacy policy.
12. Changes, Suspension, and Cancellation
TX3 Markets may amend these Terms or a Schedule, or suspend, cancel, or reschedule a Competition, where reasonably necessary, including for legal, regulatory, technical, or integrity reasons.
Certain settings are fixed once a Competition starts, including its format, eligibility, balance limits, minimum starting capital, the one-entry-per-client rule, and the start time. Other details, such as the name, end time, and prize description, may be updated.
Where a Competition is cancelled before completion, no prize is payable unless TX3 Markets states otherwise.
13. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TX3 Markets is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in a Competition, from reliance on provisional standings, or from any technical fault, delay, or interruption in scoring or in the Leaderboard.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.
14. General
These Terms are to be read together with the applicable Schedule and your TX3 Markets client agreement. In the event of a conflict, the Schedule prevails for the relevant Competition; otherwise the client agreement prevails.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
A failure or delay by TX3 Markets in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia, and the courts of Saint Lucia have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
